On the home Straight

Baby Shpwer Baby Bag

Finally I've started my maternity leave, which felt like it was the main goal of my pregnancy at times! Celebrating with a baby shower at home shared with family and friends.

We've attended all three of our NCT classes, where we met 6 other couples with very simalar due dates, and I'm looking forward to making some good friends to share this special time with. Before and after attending the NCT sessions people around us have shared their opinion of what the NCT will be like. Some saying that it is only about meeting friends and others feeling that it is very hippie and competitive. The oddest one stated 'I never needed lessions' as if knowledge is a bad thing! However I was happy to find that the sessions were intersting and informative with a little hint of hippie, but nothing competitive or overwhelming, and I have come away feeling more prepared for what is to come and hoping that there will be a free birthing pool when the time arrives!

Feeling that I need to put this time off work to good use before baby arrives I have cleaned the house from top to bottom, and have packed both my hospital bag and also one for baby.
