I'm Polly Coupée, a Lifestyle Photographer and Content Creator based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
I’ve been surrounded by photography since birth. Growing up in Brockley London, My mother Karin Craddock was a photographer and her Great grandfather was a photographer. We had a studio and darkroom at home and I modelled for my mother for advertising campaigns and also when she taught students. I modelled for local photographer David Porter for Bella magazine, as well as for my Father Barry Craddock's advertising illustrations. I learnt to develop prints and loved to help swish the developing baths!
Having Dyslexia I'm proud that I went onto study at Kent Institute of Art and Design at Canterbury and London College of Fashion where I gained my BA Hons. When dreaming of becoming a mother, I started freelancing as a photographer, before leaving my job in Womenswear Buying at Marks and Spencer and swapping early commutes for babies.
When I'm not behind the lens you will find me with a cup of Yorkshire Tea, dreaming I'm sitting high on a hillside in Swaledale, Anthon Berg Marzipan brod in hand (Thank goodness for Scandikitchen!) or tracking down my family history while illustrating or dabbling in interior design.
Family is everything. Mine is what my grandmother called Heinz 57. Brought up with a Danish MorMor (Mother's mother) and a knowledge of Italian, Austro Hungarian, English and Welsh heritage. I enjoy keeping our families traditions alive, and tracking down my family history.
Spending my childhood between South East London and the Yorkshire Dales. I've lived in Kent since I was 14 years old and East London during university years. I have lived in Tunbridge Wells with my husband since 2004. Most recently we have renovated our Georgian home in the village area of Tunbridge Wells, at the same time as raising our two young children and Cockalier.
Full frame DSLR cameras
I use two Canon full frame DSLR cameras with a combination of prime and zoom lenses, set to manual. To edit I use Adobe Lightroom to develop my images and represent the true white balance to enhance skin tones. Creating a signature style which is timeless and suits a wide audience.
Seeking to be low impact and a zero waste company where possible. All edited images are shared via my online gallery or re-usable usb drives and I offer beautiful e-vouchers instead of printed cards.
