Family & Lifestyle Photography Locations

Based in central Tunbridge Wells, Kent I'm happy to walk to locations or jump in my car. Below are a handful of locations I can recommend. I'm also keen to be introduced to new locations that you love to roam as a family or you would like to explore.

Dunorlan Park, Tunbridge Wells Family Photography Session

A Victorian Garden and boating lake designed by Robert Marnock. Located in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. The cascade has changed little since it was built in the 19th century. Chalybeate spring, Grecian temple and fantastic views of High Woods, ambling Countryside and Tunbridge Wells. Weeping willow, Rhododendron and Maples trees turn jewel colours in Late September.

Hargate Forest, Tunbridge Wells Family Photography Session

Located in the heart of Tunbridge Wells. Hargate was once part of one of the great medieval forests of the Sussex High Weald. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Hargate offers a backdrop of tall conifers, set amongst ferns and heather heathland in bloom mid/late summer.

Knole Park, Sevenoaks Family Photography Session

Knole Park is Kent's last medieval deer parkland with meandering walks through an Area of Outstanding Beauty in the heart of Sevenoaks. Surrounding the National Trust Property of Knole. Wide open spaces to explore, with ancient fallen trees to climb.

Camber Sands

Located a stones through from Rye in East Sussex. Camber Sands with drifting sand dunes, soft grasses and pale sand is a fantastic location that offers a flattering natural light bounced around reducing harsh contrasting shadows.

Winchelsea Beach

A short drive from Rye, with easy road access. Winchelsea Beach is a quiet pebble beach with dramatic panoramic views, tidal rockpools, and iconic British Cliffs in the distance.

What To Wear

A couple of weeks ahead of our session. I would recommend you layout everyone's outfits next to each other on a bed.

Steer away from black, dark clothing and logos. Normally very flattering, however for a photoshoot black adds lots of contrast, and can easily show up lint.

For group shots you will want to wear outfits within same tonal range and style (i.e. smart or casual)

Denim, linen, silk, and knits all look great on camera. Always make sure everyone feels comfortable in whatever you choose.
